Product Description
Founded in 1878 by St. Meinrad's Abbey in Indiana, Subiaco's history has been marked by tragic deaths and disastrous fires as well as triumphs and accomplishments. How these all fit together within the framework of Benedictine life is the story of this book. Subiaco was established for the spiritual care of German immigrants in Logan County, Arkansas. This book describes the long and fascinating history of these monks as they have continued to live out their Benedictine monasticism in rural Arkansas.
